jessy asked: "is it legal to adopt a rabbit in detroit then bing it over the border to windsor?"
Question posted courtesy of:
Emily replied: "As far as I'm aware, yes."
Creature replied: "Probaly not. What harm can it do?"
One girl revolution replied: "why wouldn't it be? if you lived there and then moved, your cute little bunny would come with you, so why not?"
Swifty replied: "you have nothing to worry about from what I know. Sense they aren't exotic pets then you're most likely safe."
flea replied: "It's legal to own rabbits in Windsor. But to cross the border you might need special permits, maybe a neutering or two. Go ahead and check it out to be safe.My only warning is make sure where ever you adopt the rabbit from, the rescue lets you do this. Some don't allow adoptions out of a certain radius from where you are adopting. Either for housing visits or just check ups on the animal."
andy_oseguera asked: "Anything that I can grow at home and/or buy online. But that is also legal in Florida. Example: Kratom. Does anyone know what it is? And is it legal in Florida, and does it get you high? Salvia is a good legal drug but it is no longer legal in florida, anyother drugs as such?"
Question posted courtesy of:
Al E replied: "Ok here: thats as wild as it gets... Salvia: super potent extract and a ton of info, pix videos etc. I also like the Cult site:"
marine_semperfi_jarhead replied: "ok in florida if you take any thing to get high it automatically becomes illegal example if you are witnessed sniffing a marker then the marker then becomes a drug and is now illegal and you go to jail for possession of an illegal narcotic"
Michelle asked: "Can you get legal aid if you own a property in the United Kingdom?"
Question posted courtesy of:
Teeby replied: "I think the criteria varies from location to location. The way to find out is either to call the legal aid office or just apply."
pixieotr replied: "normally it is on a sliding fee scale, the less money you have, the less you pay. you have to fill out financial documents to see if you qualify and they will tell you from that what you will be charged , if anything"
Barking mad replied: "[UK] On your first appearance you will get a form to fill in, most people qualify nowadays. If it is a motoring offence, and you belong to the AA or RAC, they usually give it free."
203 replied: "http://www.legalservices.gov.uk/"
wilfred b replied: "anybody who is charged with an offence that may merit a jail sentence gets legal aid automatically all other cases are dealt with on a indivual basis. for some cases you cannot get legal aid at all ie you cannot recieve legal aid to sue anybody for slander or libel or any leagal action that pursues money tthrough the court system etc. the only way to find out to find out for sure if you entitled to legal aid is to apply for it every situation is different. finally yes you can get legal aid if you own property , you could in fact own a ten million pound mansion and still get legal aid.the value of your residence is of no consequence when it comes to legal aid unlike nursing care you are not required to realise your assets to get a benefit of free legal help"
stormydays replied: "It depends on many facts including why you need it....eg criminal representation is nearly always available by legal aid regardless of financial status. In the civil action courts it varies. Property is not always taken into account. Benefits are not always a definate route. Each must be calculated on individual circumstances and what legal requirements are needed....eg family law...small amount available for advice and assisstance but not a full blown court hearing"
Cyrus M replied: "if you are in receipt of income support or JSA then you qualify automatically. otherwise there are stringent financial requirements which usually means that if you earn a medium income then you will not be eligible. It used to be a good system until the labour government got their hands on it and like anything labour touch it is now rubbish... They Legal Aid Board, now called the Legal Services Commission claim that their system is fair and provides a better service. The fact is it is diabolical and provides precious little. You will find that only the most despereate solicitors with very little in the way of service or knowledge ontinue to work in the legal aid field and the level of the service is frankly rubbish. You will receive a whole bunch of computer genertared non personal letters from legal aid solicitors and will never het to see your solicitor again pastthe first appointment to sign the application form. Once you signthe solicitor gets paid and after that he is not interested in anything you say..."
quierounvaquero replied: "One type of legal aid that everybody receives is free impartial legal advice from a solicitor when in questioning at the police station. This will normally be a duty solicitor (solicitors in any given area have a rota for who is the duty solicitor). Most people will stick with their duty solicitor throughout the process. The solicitor decides what type of legal aid you should apply for according to the type of crime you are accused of which determines how long procedures will likely be and in which court (summary offences are tried in a magistrates' court, indictable ones are tried in a Crown court, and some offences such as theft can be tried in either, in which case the defence decides).Legal aid is means tested, and it is assessed on both disposable income and capital. People on benefits do not usually have very much disposable income becase state benefits are not very much, so they will de facto get legal aid. If you own property, you can get legal aid, but it will be considered when means testing. There is a sliding scale of legal aid available to those who qualify for it, from legal aid paying for the whole proceedings to paying just a percentage.Solicitors do not like to do legal aid work because it means having to complete lots of paper work and being paid less than they would charge a client able to pay themselves."
Emilio G asked: "I need a car but will not use it that often, I am thinking of buying a car 50/50 with an acquaintance and share it. What are the legal risk for doing this, if she gets in an accident can I be in trouble or responsible in anyway? What other kind of legal risks might there exist?"
Question posted courtesy of:
izzie replied: "Equal liability for what ever the other does. Consider ranting occasionaly or search the net for Vehicle sharing programs in your area."
knowitall replied: "You are also at risk losing your friendship over this car. There's 7 days in a week who gets it for 4 days an the other for 3. Or who gets it for the holidays. Somebody will get upset, mostly if your sharing the payments an the insurance payments. What if they don't pay there part but still wants to use the car. Do you have the heart to say NO! If the car tares up an needs a motor an your not driving it that day will you put 1/2 the money in for repairs, or will that other person put the cash in also. Just beware an remember you get what you pay for. Good Luck"
piggyford1985 asked: "I've finished an intensive 8-hour course in legal proofreading, and I plan on taking a test at one of the legal proofreading agencies in hopes of getting a job. However, the instructor did casually say that temps are "on-call," and will be contacted if and when a law firm needs a proofreader. If this is the nature of legal proofreading, how will I ever get a permanent job or at least earn back the money I spent on the class?"
Question posted courtesy of:
Bill replied: "I've been a supervisory paralegal since 2000, and I have never heard of a "legal proofreading agency." I always proofread my own work product."
