We had to go through several versions of the banner exchange program to find the right one for us and we are happy with the one we have chosen, as it has a lot of features and provides on-going support from the developers.

The way Martial Arts Banner Exchange program works is for the webmasters of the martial arts sites to place a small piece of code on their site that displays banners of the other martial arts sites and in exchange, their banner gets displayed at other martial arts site. There are other services that offer something like this but their exchange rate is typically 2:1, where they have to display 2 to get 1. What we offer is industry best 10:8 where they get 8 for every 10 they display, and also they get 8 clicks for every 10 clicks they send, plus 3 additional displays (or impressions).

This will definitely drive targeted traffic to martial arts sites and as more and more sites join, it will be even more beneficial to all the members.

The order was placed more than a week ago but we haven’t seen any of the drafts version until yesterday.

Here are 2 of the initial designs. Feedback has been made to the vendor and expecting changes soon.

They need some tweaking but pretty good looking banners.

The hard part was having to upgrade the template, which meant having to reinstall all the old mods manually. I’m almost done with them but some are still not working….

Our main site - www.completemartialarts.com remains at strong PR4, for a very long time.

Before the correction, www.martial-forums.com was a PR5 site but went down to zero before bouncing back to PR3.

This blog is at PR2.

The rest of them vary from PR1 to PR3. What is surprising is that www.myverizonusers.com, which gets almost 1,000 unique visitors a day is at PR0…. Google must really hate this site for some reason.
